Minority Report Analysis

Shot 1

The first shot is taken as a medium close up (MCU) so the head and shoulder are visible so the facial expression of the character can be seen as well. From this shot we can see that there are people who are staring in a serious expression which indicates that they are getting ready to arrest someone. They also had the facial expression expressed clearly to show to the audience these look the villain who are trying to capture Tom Cruise because may be he had done a crime or he is trying to run away for something. Next, they have done this so it make the audience stayed engaged and emphasises the scene more.

Shot 2

This shot is a Wide shot and establishing(WE/ES) which means that the picture of the setting is taken so the area of the scene is taken so that the audience the view the whole area. This means that the background can be seen clearly. In this shot Tom Crusie may be running away from police and they have to take a scene of that picture.

Shot 3

This is close up shot which shows the face and facial expressions has shown more clearly for the audience to see what he is thinking in a expression format. By looking at the picture Tom Cruise may be giving a look where he is about to run away from police because he may have committed a crime. The shot was taken like this from the directors so that every detail of his face can been seen so the shot looks more realistic for the audience.
